Located in France Hervé Ribet is well underway with this project and has recently taken delivery of the Rotec R2800 that will power the plane.

An exciting project for all concerned and we'll be looking forward to regular progress reports and pictorial updates..

Hi,

Just some news: the engine and the propeller is in my workshop, fantastic peace of metal, marvelous work, you've excelled yourselves.

Just a question: It'll be some time before I install the R2800, I suppose that the engine can stay in the box for the next two or three months (?) or what is the storage procedure? (Rotec replied: you need to follow storage procedure and apply oil or a surface protectant to the cylinders - remove the plugs spray into each pot and with the plugs out rotate the engine using the prop or a lever through half a dozen turns very slowly... repeat ever month)


So the project begins and on the 6th of May the first photographs arrive:
